Our Father

Do you work with your kids on their prayers?  Learning and even memorizing prayers can be hard for children to do.

A few years ago, I had made a sequencing mat to put the Our Father in order.  This helps children learn the proper order of the prayer.  A reader asked me if I still had this available and sadly I had to tell her “no”.  Well that didn’t make me happy, so I went digging through a very old back-up drive and found it!  I was able to make a slight update to it and I’m able to share it with you all!

If you’re interested in this sequencing mat, Just click on the cover image above to download it.  I hope that this helps your kids and makes it fun for them to learn the Our Father.

Sequence & Pray – Our Father

Today on Commotion from the Ocean of Life, my “family life” blog, I posted a new Christian game.  It’s called Sequence & Pray – Our Father.  This is the Catholic version of the prayer.

If 2 sets of the cards are printed, they could be used for concentration/memory.  They can also be used to sequence the words to the prayer on the mat.  There are a number of other things that could be done with them as well as reciting the prayer.

If you’re interested in this printable sequence & pray activity, please just click the button below to get the…..

If you use this printable, please leave a comment or click the button below to vote for my blog. I create by the input that I receive and this lets me know that there’s an interest in the materials that I share. Thanks!!

Who Is Watching Baby Jesus?

Today is the 20th and final posting of Nativity A Day.  It looks like I missed 3 posting, but I might not be finished for today yet!!  I really enjoyed this challenge, and I hope that you did too.

My offering for today is Who Is Watching Baby Jesus? and it’s played like Who Took the Cookie? and Who Stole Santa’s Elf? that I posted after Thanksgiving.  Players are dealt cards face down and flip one at a time over.  If the player doesn’t have baby Jesus, they say “NOT ME” and play continues on in this manner, one player at a time.  If they do flip over baby Jesus, then they say “IT’S ME” and the game ends.  In this case, the one “watching” baby Jesus is the winner!!  This also includes the box to store the cards in.
